ChristmasTime is an interactive Christmas Card and play area, designed for the young at heart everywhere. You can customize the message and sound, decorate the tree, peek at the presents, play with the manger.... and I'll leave a few things for you to discover yourself.
ChristmasTime will run on a Mac Plus or better, System 6.04 and better. It supports black and white and 256 colors (or grayscale).

This stack is funware. Have fun, share it, and have a great holiday. This is my first stack, and I have plans for additions to Christmastime, and plans for many other children's stacks. If you enjoy this program, please send me email or a postcard, or $5 (which will certainly encourage me to continue with my projects).
I think shareware is a great idea. I believe people should be able to try out programs, be sure it is what they want, and then register for a low price.
Experiment! Try clicking on things. Some objects can be moved by dragging them while holding the mouse button down.
Click on the cabinet doors to open and close the cabinet and get the decorations. Then drag them to your preferred locations.
To put away the decorations, drag them back to the cabinet. To put them all away, use the SPECIAL-CLEAN UP menu.
Use the menus to make your own custom text message or recording.
Changes you make will be automatically saved.
To hide or see the menubar, use the buttons below or hit
cmd-SPACE or the Spacebar.
Pressing on the buttons at the nativity will cause the visitors to appear and disappear.
Pressing on the up and down arrows at the nativity will change the pointer to the arrow. Clicking on a visitor with it will display them in front of or behind other visitors around them.
About Older Macs

This program _can_ run on System 6.04 and a Mac Plus on up. This program is also graphic packed, with over 400 graphic elements. SuperCard does a great job handling it, but displaying all the graphics I put in causes it to run very slow on a Mac Plus. I promise to use more of the features that work well on all machines in my next project (400 graphics mostly on two cards, what *was* I thinking of!)
Make sure to select Special - Fast Drag to improve the behavior with the Christmas Tree area. If you want to rearrange items in the Nativity scene, move the mouse slowly. You can still click on the manger and move the mouse over the drummer boy, those play well. Also click the candle, wreath, cards, and leave the pointer sitting in the fire...
If you're on a black and white mac, you can lower the run memory to the minimum suggested. (If it does crash, bump the memory up)

This program is shareware - it is *not* public domain. I, Grace Sylvan, retain full rights to the graphics and scripts I created.
Feel free to look at the scripts if you have SuperCard, and be inspired. Don't copy my graphics, don't copy huge sections of my code - be cool.
